Our focus: To elevate the youth in our community, by creating a positive environment, to motivate & coach team mentality within a social hub.

Our mission: To reinforce the individual’s ability to work on self.

21st century youth deserve affordable encouragement to help them with personal and professional development to become active role models in their communities & furthermore.

Head coaches Steve Jones, Mike Larrea, Jakub Sadowski and Skyla Jones use life experience to energize the youth to become the best they can be.

Our Vision: To bring our communities together around a common love.

About the Royals FC

The Royals FC was set up primarily to share the English perspective on the beautiful sport some may call proper Football.  We are a community run organization that understands the strongest resource we have is our youth.

Our coaches are dedicated ‘proper Football (Soccer) players whom either still play or have gone through our program. We offer private, one–on–one coaching sessions designed to bridge the gap between recreational and travel Football. We work closely with Sting FC out of Orland Park, IL to match the player with the right team and coaching.

We also work with Chicago Fire FC to show young players that there is an opportunity locally to become a professional player.

Not long NOW!!

coach steve jones

Coach Steve was dropped into the wonderful world of proper football from birth, playing competitively in England from a pre-pubescent age. He played in various clubs in Reading England and contracted to play for local teams. After arriving in the US 20 years ago, he has come to terms with the name change, which never discounted his passion for the sport. He fully understands the roll this amazing sport has had to define and chisel his character and help him meander through this journey we call life.

Coach Skyla Jones

Coach Skyla started playing at a young age recreationally, then wanted to take it further to play travel. She started coaching with her dad in the beginning of the Royals FC, and has now become a full time face for the Royals. She’s also a great role model for the Royals Academy girls that she coaches, while providing motivation as well as inspiration to play this beautiful sport. She’s a certified referee and has a lot of knowledge and a good understanding of the game. Skyla enjoys working with young kids to develop a passion for the game and to become the best player they can be.

Coach Jakub Sadowski

Coach Jakub began playing soccer at quite a young age at Tatra Soccer League. From there he moved on to a local team, Homer Soccer Club, and continued to further his skills. At the ripe age of 6 he began to play for Chicago Inter Soccer Club where he has grown and continues to grow his skills and understanding of the game. Furthermore, he also competes with Lockport Township High School, and plans to achieve great things with the school. He has experienced the game from the viewpoint of a referee, player, and coach and applies these experiences to help players further understand the game. Through rigorous training, Coach Jakub has learned the importance of respect, discipline, and confidence in soccer, and hopes to introduce and promote these ideas upon the future generation of soccer players.

Coach Mike Larrea

Having played virtually since birth, Coach Mike stepped on to the field at 4 years old. He then continued for the following 20 years, playing for various clubs and through high school at very high levels. At his college, North Central College in Naperville, IL, he spent all 4 years helping to bolster the college’s youth athletic camp programs as a coach whose programs saw a massive growth in the involvement of our younger players. Coach Mike has been mentoring youth athletes for a little more than a decade. His passion for the beautiful game spans beyond the field and drives to inspire those around him to not only become better players, but better versions of themselves. Proper football is a lifestyle as much as it is a sport.

Coach Mo Bargach

Coach Mo started playing soccer at 4 years old during summers in Morocco where he fell in love with the game. He grew his skills with Homer Soccer Club and later joined Chicago Inter at 11 before competing for Lockport Township High School for three years. Coach Mo trained almost daily and studied the game by watching matches across the Premier League and La Liga which gave him both practical experience and tactical knowledge. His passion and dedication allow him to guide players in improving their skills while building confidence respect and discipline.
